John McGrew joined the Van Gundy Agency team in May 2007 as an agent and became partner in July 2015. John became the Executive Vice President for Van Gundy in 2021.
A native of Bloomington/Normal, John graduated from Parkland College ('01) and Illinois State University (BS '04). While at ISU, he was enrolled in their Katie Insurance School. John has received the INS certificate.
John worked for Cincinnati Insurance Company for 3 1/2 years as a personal lines and commercial lines underwriter. He uses this experience to help his customer's with their home/auto and business owner insurance needs.
John and his wife, Heather, live in Central Illinois with their son Miles and daughter Charlee. He enjoys fishing, camping, basketball and golf. You can always catch John cheering for the Cubs and the Bears.
